Xiaomi’s entry level smartphone Redmi 7A launched with Snapdragon 439 SoC


Xiaomi sub brand Redmi launched new entry level smartphone Redmi 7A in Indian markets to compete with realme C2. The new Redmi 7A comes with Qualcomm Snapdragon 439 SoC, HD+ display, 4000mAh battery. The device comes with 2GB/16GB and 2GB/32GB and price starts at Rs 5,999.

Redmi 7A specifications

The triple slot mobile phone powered by an octa-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 439 SoC clocked at up to 2.0GHz. It has a 5.45-inch HD+ (720×1440 pixels) display with an 18:9 aspect ratio.

Talking about camera the mobile has a single 12 megapixel Sony IMX486 sensor which was earlier used in Mi A2 smartphone. For selfie it has 5 megapixel selfie shooter which also supports face unlock feature. Both the camera features with AI portrait and AI Beauty.

Mobile phone packed with 4,000mAh battery. Company also said that the Redmi 7A is splash proof and also giving 2 years warranty on the device. Connectivity options include 4G VoLTE, Wi-Fi 802.11ac, GPS Bluetooth v4.0, micro USB, FM radio and 3.5mm headphones jack.

Pricing and availability

Redmi 7A price in India starts at Rs 5,999 for 2GB of RAM and 16GB of internal storage, 2GB and 32GB storage model will be available at Rs 6,199. The smartphone go on sale via Flipkart and mi.com from 12.00 Noon on 11th July. It will be available in Matte Black, Matte Blue, and Matte Gold colour options.
As an introductory offer, Xiaomi is offering Rs 200 discount on variants in India throughout the month. Now it will sold at Rs 5,799 and Rs 5,999 respectively.
