Vivo’s much awaited smartphone Vivo X21, First smartphone with under-display fingerprint launched in India on Tuesday. The main highlight of the smartphone is its under display fingerprint scanner. The smartphone is Flipkart exclusive in India, and sale starts May 29.
The phone will have a on-screen fingerprint prompt at the bottom of the display, which users can simply touch to unlock the phone.
The dual sim Vivo X21 powered by an octa-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 660 SoC clocked up to 2.2GHz and runs on FunTouch OS 4.0 based on Android 8.1 Oreo. It has a 6.28-inch full-HD+ (1080×2280 pixels) Super AMOLED display with a 19:9 aspect ratio and a 402ppi pixel density. It has 6GB of RAM and 128GB of internal storage, which is expandable via microSD card (up to 256GB). it is backed by a 3200mAh battery.
The Vivo X21 sports a dual rear camera setup, with the 12-megapixel primary camera with an f/1.8 aperture. The secondary camera is a 5-megapixel. It has also 2PD (Dual Pixel technology). For selfie, Vivo X21 has a 12MP selfie camera with a f/2.0 aperture. Company claim that it will take better photos in low light conditions.
Pricing and availability
The Vivo X21 price in India has been set at Rs. 35,990. The smartphone is exclusive to Flipkart in India and it will go on sale from Tuesday. At this price, it will compete with OnePlus 6, which starts at Rs 34,999 and Honor 10, which is priced starting at Rs 32,999. Flipkart is also bundling launch offers such as an extra Rs 3,000 off on regular exchange value and 5% cashback on SBI credit card and no-cost EMI up to 12 months on all credit cards.
