At Google Developer Conference 2019 aka I/O 2019, Google launched affordable Pixels lineup Google Pixel 3a and Pixel 3a XL. The biggest highlight is its camera that is same as last year launched Google Pixel 3. Design wise it is identical to the last year launched Pixel 3. If we talk about build quality the new Pixel devices comes with polycarbonate body while Pixel 3 comes with glass back.
Pixel 3a and 3a XL specifications
The dual sim ( secondary eSIM) is powered by a Qualcomm Snapdragon 670 SoC paired with Adreno 615 GPU. The Pixel 3a has a 5.6-inch full-HD+ (1080×2220 pixels) gOLED screen with 18.5:9 aspect ratio, while the Pixel 3a XL comes with a 6-inch full-HD+ (1080×2160 pixels) gOLED display with 18:9 aspect ratio and both are protected by Dragon Trail glass.
Talking about main highlights, both Pixel devices has 12.2-megapixel Dual-Pixel Sony IMX363 sensor single rear camera with f/1.8 aperture, 1.4-micron pixel. The device is features with EIS + OIS, HDR+, Portrait Mode, Super Res Zoom, Top Shot and Night Sight low light photography. It can also shoot 4K videos at 30fps.
For selfie it has 8-megapixel selfie shooter with f/2.0 aperture and 1.12 micron pixels
The 3a is packed with 3000 mAh battery while 3a XL has 3700mAh battery. Both the device supports 18W Quick Charge via USB PD (Power Delivery) charging.
Both has a fingerprint reader at back pannel other sensor include accelerometer, gyroscope, ambient light sensor, proximity sensor, barometer, and magnetometer. Connectivity options include 4G VoLTE, Wi-Fi 802.11ac, GPS, Bluetooth v5.0, NFC and 3.5mm headphones jack.
Pricing and availability
The Pixel 3a (4GB/64GB) starts at Rs 39,999 and Pixel 3a XL price in India set for Rs 44,999. Both the smartphone coming to India on 15th May in Clearly White, Just Black, and Purple colours. The device will be available via Flipkart today itself.
In US, the price starts at $399 (approx Rs 28,000), while the 3a XL price starts at $479 (approx Rs 33,500).
