After several leeks and rumours Huawei launched the latest smartphone of P-series Huawei P30 and P30 Pro in Paris. Company said that the device have a most advanced camera technology. The biggest highlight is its quad camera setup that has 5x optical, 10x hybrid, and 50x digital zoom.

Huawei P30 and P30 Pro specifications

The dual-SIM Huawei P30 and P30 Pro is powered by an octa-core Kirin 980 chipset packet with Mali-G76 GPU. The device runs on EMUI 9.1 based on Android 9.0 Pie.

The Huawei P30 Pro has a 6.47 inch full-HD+ (1080×2340 pixels) OLED screen with 19.5:9 aspect ratio. While P30 comes with 6.1-inch full-HD+ (1080×2340 pixels) OLED display with 19.5:9 aspect ratio.

Now comes to camera department, the P30 Pro has quad camera setup with a 40 megapixel primary sensor with f/1/1.7-inch Huawei SuperSpectrum Sensor and f/1.6 (27mm), secondary 20 megapixel ultra-wide-angle sensor with f/2.2 aperture, third sensor is 8 megapixel telephoto lens with f/3.4 aperture (125mm lens) and last is TOF (time of flight) sensor. The rear camera features with dual OIS, 5x optical, 10x hybrid, and 50x digital zoom.

While the P30 comes with triple rear camera setup with a primary 40 megapixel wide-angle lens with f/1.8 aperture, secondary sensor also a 16 megapixel ultra-wide-angle lens with f/2.2 aperture, and last 8 megapixel telephoto lens with f/2.4 aperture. The P30 phone camera features with 3x optical zoom and 5x hybrid zoom.

In other hand both has same 32 megapixel selfie shooter with an f/2.0 aperture. The light sensitivity on the P30 up to ISO204800 and P30 Pro can reach ISO409600. It has also handheld night mode which takes great photos in low light and also features with Portrait Against Backlight and AIS (Artificial Intelligence Stablisation).

DxOMark also revealed by the company which claim that for photography its optained 119 score, while for video it has 97 and overall the device received 112 scores.

The Huawei P30 packed with 6GB of RAM, 128GB of internal storage while the P30 Pro has 8GB of RAM, and 128GB/ 256GB/ 512GB of internal storage option.

The Huawei P30 packs a 3,650mAh battery, whereas the Huawei P30 Pro has a 4,200mAh battery which support Huawei’s 40W super charge technology. The Pro model also has reverse wireless charging tech.

Pricing and availability

The Huawei P30 will be available at EUR 799 (approx Rs 62,200). While P30 Pro starts at EUR 999 (approx Rs 77,800) for the 8GB/ 128GB storage model and goes up to EUR 1,249 (approx Rs 97,300) for 8GB/256GB variant. The device comes in Black, Amber Sunrise, Aurora, Breathing Crystal, and Pearl White colours options.
