New Delhi, Honor new midrange smartphone Honor Play launched in India. The main highlights of the smartphone is a new GPU Turbo technology and AI based camera. The company claim tha GPU Turbo technology increase device performance up to 60% and also increase battery life. The smartphone are Amazon Exclusive and go on sale from today itself. Honor Play available in two RAM variants- 4GB and 6GB and the smartphone available in two colour.
The Honor Play is powered by octa-core Kirin 970 AI chipset and runs on EMUI 8.2 which is based on Android 8.1 Oreo. The device has a 6.3-inch full-HD+ (1080×2340 pixels) display with a 19.5:9 aspect ratio, 89 percent screen-to-body ratio and iPhone X like Notch desing. It is packed with 3750mAh battery.
Now comes to camera department, the Honor Play comes with dual rear camera setup with 16 megapixel primary lens with an f/2.2 aperture and 2 megapixel secondary lens with an f/2.4 aperture. For Selfie lover it has a 16-megapixel sensor with an f/2.0 aperture. The smartphone comes with AI intelligent photography, that can recognise 22 object categories and over 500 scenes. And also features with 3D facial recognition system.
Pricing and availability
The Honor Play come in two variants, 4GB/64GB available at Rs. 19,999 and 6GB/64GB price at Rs. 23,999. the smartphone are Amazon Exclusive. The smartphone available in Midnight Black and Navy Blue colour options.
Connectivity and sensor include 4G VoLTE, Bluetooth v4.2, GPS/ A-GPS, USB Type-C (v2.0) and 3.5mm headphone jack. Sensors- gyroscope, a proximity sensor, an accelerometer, ambient light sensor and digital compass. It has fingerprint sensor at back pannel.
